A grinder (H-series) is a tub grinder. It processes grain, hay, and forage into ground feed for livestock rations or custom grinding operations. A bale processor (BaleBuster) takes whole bales and shreds them for feeding, bedding, or mulch spreading without grinding. Different jobs, different machines.
The 2660 is the two-bale flagship. The 2665 is the same two-bale platform with more hammers, stripper kits, slug bars, and a heavier rotor package for a fine, consistent 5 to 10 cm cut. If you need consistent short cuts for TMR or specialty feeding, get the 2665. Otherwise the 2660 does the job.
Yes. Every tub grinder in the H-series line (H-835, H-1000, H-1030, H-1135, H-1135E, and H-1155) takes large square bales right in the tub. No problem. On the BaleBuster side, the BB-2800 is the only one with hydraulic squeeze bars that self-load any bale, including large squares. The BB-2660, BB-2665, and BB-2574 can also process square bales, but you’ll need a telehandler or loader to get them in. The BB-2100 is round bales only.
Depends on the model. PTO-driven BaleBusters and the smaller H-series grinders run on mid-size tractors. The H-1135 wants serious PTO horsepower. If you’re tight on tractor power, the H-1155 is the only self-contained engine model in the line, and the H-1135E is electric drive. Either one skips the tractor requirement entirely.
Parts are shipped from the factory in Jamestown, North Dakota, or stocked by your local dealer. Common wear items are usually in stock. For less common parts we air freight direct. Email us with your machine model and serial number and we’ll quote turnaround.
Yes. Every new HayBuster comes with a factory warranty. Terms vary by model and region. Your dealer will walk you through the specifics before you take delivery.
Yes. The Support page has factory manuals for the current lines. If yours is not there, email us the model number and approximate year and we’ll track one down from the factory.
